Applied in early Dec 2024, the hiring process didn't finish until March 2025. The steps were: 1) Cognitive aptitude and employee personal profile assessment 2) HR/Recruiting interview 3) Hiring Manager interview 4) Technical interview (SQL skills assessment) 5) Another HR/Recruiting interview 6) Practical assessment/case study 7) CS Manager interview 8) VP interview 9) Sr. Team Member interview (culture talk) 10) Hiring Manager interview (again) to present case study/assessment. There was a month-long gap between step 4 and 5. That's 2 assessments and 8 interviews for an IC role, which feels ridiculous. While the team was nice, the process was a huge red flag. I'm glad I didn't get an offer, as it signals internal bureaucracy. My feedback to the company is to drastically cut down the number of interviews.

I don't recall precisely from over 3 years ago when I applied, but I remember there was a phone screen, a weird assessment, an interview with someone from the Product team, and then an interview with the manager. It was pretty straightforward. I'm not sure if the process is still the same.

Applied online through LinkedIn, then about 1.5 weeks later I got an email to do a CCAT and EPP assessment. After I finished, Madi emailed me explaining the tests were to help streamline hiring and increase success, but honestly, they had nothing to do with the role and felt like a waste of time. She said someone from Talent Acquisition would reach out next, but it's been a week with no contact from OrderMyGear.

I went through 3 interviews, all scheduled within a few days. They also asked for reference checks. First, I interviewed with the Talent Acquisition team, then the hiring manager, and finally a few other team members. It was a great experience overall. They made me feel comfortable and like they were genuinely trying to get to know me instead of just asking a bunch of questions that didn't matter.
