Technical Presentation

My interview experience with Orbit Partners was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. The initial interview was scheduled but the interviewer didn't show up and then emailed to reschedule, which I agreed to. However, after agreeing to postpone, I received no further communication, even after sending three follow-up emails before the Assessment Centre. I still got no response and even sent a final email asking if I was out of the running, but heard nothing back. This lack of communication after rescheduling is very unprofessional and disrespectful of candidates' time. I wouldn't expect this disorganization from a firm in the advisory space. It was a terrible experience from start to finish; they seem like a toxic and unprofessional company.

Case Behavioral Presentation

Started with an initial screening call with the head of HR. The next step was a 3-hour case study with two Associate VPs. Success in the case study led to a final round with an MD. A point of caution for future applicants: after the case study, HR called to say they were scheduling the final round and would connect me with a current Associate for an informal chat, implying I was doing well. They promised to send final interview details and the Associate's contact info after the call. I didn't receive the email, so I followed up. HR then sent a rude email claiming I sounded nervous and disliked challenges during the case study, traits unsuitable for their Associates. This contradicts the positive feedback I received from the AVPs. I replied rationally, but received no response. While I respect rejection based on performance, being led on and then given conflicting feedback is a major red flag. I don't recommend this firm for wasting time and lying.

Case Behavioral Presentation

It was a long but comprehensive process. It included a case study and behavioral interviews. I had 1:1s with firm professionals. The CEO even came from the UK, which was amazing from a candidate perspective. The questions were tailored to day-to-day work and my interest in PE.
