Behavioral Presentation

I want to give feedback about my second interview for a Site Director position in Burlington, MA with Orbis Education. It was very unprofessional when an interviewer called maternity leave a "12 week vacation" to an employee who was on the call. I was also told that success in this role requires working more than 40 hours a week, around 55 hours, and I was questioned about whether that would be on a 40 hour a week salary. During a "day in the life" segment, an employee referred to their direct manager, who was present on the call, as a micromanager and a jerk. Because of these issues, I am not interested in working for Orbis Education.

I was first reached out to by a recruiter and then set up an interview with both HR and management. I had to follow up with the recruiter the day before the interview because she hadn't confirmed the details yet. The interview itself was long but went very well, and everyone was super friendly and it felt more casual. I got a tour of the building and was really excited about the job because it sounded like a great company. The next day, I had another phone interview. They said I'd hear back from the recruiter either way, but I never did. I don't think it's a reflection of the company, maybe just a recruiter who wasn't great at communicating, but I might be more patient than most. It's pretty frustrating and disappointing when you don't hear back, especially after taking time off your current job for interviews. I do appreciate it when companies let their interviewees know if the position has been filled or if they weren't selected.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I was trying to schedule my 4th interview for the sales trainee position at the Oconomowoc, WI location, which was supposed to include lunch, but I was ghosted. A recruiter initially contacted me on LinkedIn about this role. He told me he'd get in touch after the holidays to set up the final interview because many office employees were on vacation. This was in early to mid-December, so I expected to hear back the first week of January. I followed up with an email on January 6th, 2022, but got no response. Then, I sent another email on January 17th, 2022, carbon copying another Orbis employee, and still, nothing. I feel disrespected because I took the time to meet with 7 different Orbis employees throughout the interview process, and none of them bothered to update me on my status. The whole process started in October 2021, so I feel like I wasted 2 months. I wouldn't recommend this company; it's quite embarrassing. It's better to find a company that values your time and skills.

I had a phone screen, then a face to face with the hiring manager, then a meeting with the hiring managers VP and HR. I liked that the recruiting manager stuck to the timelines. I was told it would be a week or two before I heard back after the phone screen, but I got an email from her assistant within 24 hours to set up the next interview. I was told in that interview that it would be about a week before I heard back, and again, I got an email 24 hours later to schedule my final interview. When the recruiter said she would follow up, she did. As a business person, I really appreciated how everyone I met kept their commitments.
