First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OrangePeople.
Project Manager
There were 2 rounds of interviews. First up was the manager for the specific team you will work on (tech, project management, etc.). It was scheduled for 30 minutes but wrapped up in about 15 as it was more of a screening. Second interview with two people in Orange People management.
- Tell me about your work style.
- Let's go over your resume experience.
- How flexible are you with your work hours?

The hiring process was pretty standard, like what others have mentioned. It started with a virtual chat with the recruiter who gave an overview of the company and explained the assessment. Then, I had to complete an assessment within two days. After that, there were interviews with the project manager and art director. Next, I interviewed with the creative director, followed by an interview with a potential co-worker. The initial interviews with the project and design leads went well. They were nice and asked about my experience with project and client management. They seemed professional and had their own unique questions, no repeats. Everything stayed on schedule. Near the end, though, I noticed some questions from one interviewer that felt a bit off. I think they could have been phrased more carefully to avoid sounding insensitive or causing misunderstandings, especially concerning age and personality. It might be that the interviewer wasn't fully trained for conducting interviews.
- Can you tell me about your project management skills?
- How do you handle stakeholder and client management?
- Describe your approach to time management.

The interview experience was not great. They didn't seem to value the consultant's time. A VP joined at one point and asked some questions that weren't really related to the role. I'd suggest not having that VP interview people anymore. If that's how they operate, it gives a clear idea of the company's overall standards.
- Can you describe the technology stacks you are familiar with?
- Could you elaborate on a recent project you completed?
- What led you to apply for this position?
Mobile Applications Developer
First, there was a hiring phone call, then a video interview. The interview process was all over the place, with a VP jumping in and asking questions that didn't seem relevant. I wouldn't suggest including that VP in future interviews, as their behavior makes you wonder about the company's overall standards.
- What was the worst video interview you've experienced?
- Describe a time when an interview process wasn't followed.
- How do you feel about interviewers not valuing candidates' time?
