Analyst
It was a good experience, even though I didn't get an offer. The questions were pretty basic, mostly about my experience and skills, like a standard HR interview. I'd suggest preparing well and having a recommendation letter. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Could you please introduce yourself and explain your understanding of this role?
Special Education Paraeducator
The first interview was a Zoom call with HR and a Special Education Director. They asked 5 easy questions about my experience, education, and some situational stuff. The second interview was in person at the Ocde connections site. The Principal and Vice Principal asked about my experience and if I've worked with non-verbal students. I asked them questions about the work environment at the end, which they liked. My advice is to always ask questions back about the job and what you're getting into.
- Can you tell me about your work experience and how it relates to working with children with severe autism?
- Describe your relevant work experience.
- What's your educational background?
Program Assistant
The first interview was a blind virtual one, meaning they didn't have my resume. The HR person only sent the interview link after I reminded them and I got the questions 10 minutes before. The second interview was in person. There was a gap of several weeks between the two interviews, and I'm still waiting for a response over a week later.
- Can you share an instance of a project you managed, either from your work or studies? Please provide specific details about the project and your responsibilities.
- What steps did you take to guarantee the project's successful completion?
Human Resources Employment Specialist
I had 2 in-person interviews for the Human Resources Employment Specialist role. They set the interview day and time and expected me to be available. After the interviews, the hiring manager for Employee Recruitment and Engagement ghosted me when I followed up. They didn't respond to emails or calls, which is disappointing given the expectation that candidates drop everything for interviews but don't receive basic communication back. This makes me question their commitment to candidate experience.
- What are your strategies for ensuring a positive candidate experience?
