First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ora.
HR Generalist
I had an initial interview with Billy, who is the Sr. Director of Talent Acquisition. Billy was a good interviewer and gave me a good overview of the company and the job. It was a relaxed chat, and I felt like Billy was paying attention to what I said and was interested in my experience. Billy seems like a great representative for Ora, and if I hadn't taken another job, I would have been keen to move forward.

Clinical Research Coordinator
Applied online after seeing the role on LinkedIn. Got a phone screening the same day. The screening was easy and the recruiter was friendly, but there were some red flags. The job posting said full-time, but during the screening, I was told it was per diem. When discussing compensation, the recruiter asked if I was okay with a certain hourly rate. I tried to negotiate for more, and she said it would be considered. Two days after the screening, I had an interview with management that lasted over an hour. The next week, I got an offer, but the hourly wage in the offer letter was much lower than what we discussed. I asked the recruiter for clarification, and she said it was a misunderstanding and they never intended to suggest the higher hourly rate. It felt like a bait and switch. Given the uncertain hours and the change in pay, I decided to decline the offer. I later heard they did the same thing to other candidates.

Clinical Trial Associate
Applied on Linkedin and got a response from the recruiter. Had 3 rounds of interviews, and the interviewers were nice. It took weeks to hear back after each round. After the last round, it took about a month to get feedback, and the recruiter mentioned that the full-time position was no longer available but would be per diem. We discussed salary and benefits, and they said they would send a formal offer. Weeks passed with no word from the recruiter despite my follow-ups. About three months later, I received an automated email stating they were proceeding with another candidate.

Clinical Research Associate
A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn. After a 30-minute call the following day, I was sent a link to upload my resume and provide my availability for a video interview. The interview was scheduled quickly. In the first round, two employees asked a lot of questions about me and specific CRA tasks. I later withdrew my application because some unprofessional comments were made. The interviewers also logged in a bit late.
