I found the job on Monster and applied online. A week later, the recruiter called me for a phone chat. She liked me and said she would pass my name to the branch manager, who should call me in a week. If not, I should call her. Another week passed with no call, so I called the recruiter. She apologized, said things were chaotic with opening a new branch, and asked me to wait another week and call again if I didn't hear back. A week later, still no word, so I called the recruiter again. I found out the branch manager hadn't even started yet, so they set up a phone interview with a manager from another branch. I did that interview a few days later. The other branch manager and I spoke for about 45 minutes, and it went well. He said he would recommend me to the actual branch manager and felt positive about me. I then called the recruiter back. She said the manager I spoke with was impressed and wanted me to meet the branch manager at headquarters (2 hours away) when she started. This was a month away. She also started the background and credit check process so it would be done by my final interview. I rented a room and stayed in the area for the interview. When I met the actual branch manager, she was distracted and seemed uninterested, already making other plans and saying the interview wouldn't take long. I barely got to ask one question before being rushed out. I asked if she would call me with an answer either way, and she promised she would. Since everyone had to travel, they expected to have an answer that day. I never heard from the company again. The manager never called, and the recruiter didn't either. I suspect she had already decided before I arrived, but I don't know for sure. It's disappointing after a 2-month process and traveling for an interview to not even get a courtesy call to say I didn't get the job. This experience has given me a bad impression of the company, and I wouldn't recommend interviewing there.

It was a really professional interview. They asked about my career goals and vision. They also gave an overview of the industry and let me ask questions. It was pretty straightforward and focused a lot on my resume and cover letter, asking about my recent work experience. They were upfront about the role for the first 6 months. I was pleased with the experience, learned a lot, and felt comfortable during the 45 minutes.

I interviewed in person once with our VP of Infrastructure, AVP of System Support Management and two team members I would be working with. The interview focused more on behavioral stuff and how I would fit in with their team. There were some technical questions, but the fact that I came recommended by one of the VPs, who I had worked very closely with before, made the interview a lot easier.

The interview was good and lasted 30 minutes. They asked both behavioral and technical questions and also asked me to walk through my resume. Overall, it was a good experience.
