I had a virtual interview with the Hiring Manager and the Team. Honestly, it was the best interview I've had so far. It was surprising how the people who interviewed me were the same ones who have been with the company for years, and they presented themselves genuinely.

We had a few interviews. First, you talk to the hiring board members for org fit, it's pretty informal. Then, you interview with the lead PM/Program/Portfolio Manager, also not super formal, they just want to see if you'd sync up with them. Finally, the hiring manager interview is a bit more formal, where they check if you have the position.

The process started with a recruiter call, followed by a first-round interview, and then a final round with the hiring manager. Despite a great interview performance, the offer was given to someone with significantly more experience, who was overqualified, which is happening a lot due to COVID. Experienced folks aren't retiring, and new grads aren't getting a chance.
