Behavioral Technical Coding System Design Presentation

The process started with an HR interview where they asked standard behavioral and motivational questions. It's important to research the company and industry and have questions ready. Next was a Hackerrank test that included questions on network technology and design, plus some Python coding. After that, a technical interview with one or two Network Engineering team members, heavily focusing on the Hackerrank questions, especially the ones that were missed. Then came a System Design round where I had to design a simple trading application, requiring general knowledge of how trading systems function and applying common logic. The key was to ask questions and avoid making assumptions. The final stage was an on-site series of interviews, which included presenting one of my past projects and having a discussion with the CTO.

Technical Coding

The interview process was good. They give you a test first, and then they ask questions from that test in a later interview. The recruiter from Optiver actually tells you beforehand not to worry about studying the exam for future rounds, which can be misleading. Then, you might be surprised when you get to an interview and they ask about it. So, make sure you study your answers and reasoning for the exam.

Behavioral Technical

The interviews went very well, and everyone was super friendly. The first round was a 30-minute behavioural screening, and the second was a 60-minute technical interview. Both rounds felt pretty relaxed.
