Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Optiver.
Analyst
The interview was mostly about questions about yourself, then some technical questions. Recruiter super nice. I did not move to next round though. Some questions about markets, but mainly focus in if you follow the markets or not.
- Why do you want to work at Optiver?
- Do you follow the market?
Analyst
The interview process involves 5 rounds: first an OT test, then a recruiter call, followed by a python test, then an interview with the team, and finally an interview with tech. So basically you need to pass 5 rounds to join the team, it's a really long process. though the pay doesn't really match the difficulty level of interviews.
- Can you tell me more about your personality and past experience, and what you know about the company?
Analyst
The interviewer was professional and asked questions directly related to the role. Case study prep is recommended. Make sure to know details and tie your talking points directly to the job you are applying for.
- How would you approach planning a strategy initiative?
