They first reached out to me for a formal chat about my current job and what I do there. We talked a lot about my background, my experience in general, and the tech stack I'm using now. They also wanted to know about my practical experience, my daily tasks, and if I know the tools and frameworks I use for my current job.

So the process started with like a quick HR call to see if I'm a culture fit and go over my background. Then I had a take-home project that was pretty straightforward. After I sent that in, I had a discussion with the Engineering Manager and a Solution Architect where we mainly talked about system design and the decisions I made.

I applied for this internship through an employee referral. First, an HR person called me to talk about my current situation and give me some company info. Then, I had a coding interview where I had to solve two problems in about 45 minutes. The interviewer also asked about Rest API knowledge and some other easy questions. After that, HR scheduled my second interview, which was a coding test focusing on backend development for an hour, followed by an hour-long code review where they asked me to explain my code. They also changed some features and asked how I'd implement them, plus discussed the complexity of my approach. HR called a few hours later to set up the third interview. This one was mostly behavioral, asking about my projects and some situational questions. Even though there are usually three rounds, they wanted one more. The final interview involved looking at a simple codebase and explaining which parts do what and how. I got the job offer confirmation from HR a few days later.
