First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Opteon.
Assistant Valuer
The interview process was online and included a first and second round. I didn't get the job, but it felt close. The interviews weren't incredibly difficult, though it was a bit frustrating that the first and second rounds felt like the same thing.
- Can you describe your previous experience?
- What drives your passion for this type of work?
Valuer
The interview process was really straightforward and positive. Communication was clear and timely. The interview itself was a good conversation about my experience, skills, and how I’d fit with the team. They asked about my background, but also gave me the chance to ask questions and learn more about the company culture and what the role would involve day-to-day. It felt like a two-way conversation. Overall, the process was efficient and friendly, and I came away with a strong impression that they value people who are not only capable but also easy to work with.
- What sparks your interest in valuations?
Marketing Specialist
The interview process was efficient and didn't take too long. It felt like a two-way street, and I was worried about whether it was a good fit for me too. They didn't make me repeat my whole resume, which is something I really dislike, as it's right there. They asked more in-depth questions.
- How do you handle working remotely with minimal supervision?
Software Engineer
I went through 3 rounds of interviews, which honestly felt like a waste of time. It started with an HR screening, then two interviews with team leaders, and finally an interview with the CTO. Each interview lasted about an hour. There were a lot of HR-type questions, but surprisingly, no actual technical assessment.
- They asked a lot of behavioral questions and talked about their software development dreams.
- There were many questions about 'what if' scenarios.
- They seemed more interested in discussing their own aspirations rather than assessing my qualifications.
