First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Oppy.
Accountant
I had a 10-minute phone screen about a week after applying. Then, I had a virtual interview with 5 people (1 HR and the rest from Accounting). They were all really nice. The HR person asked most of the questions. They said I'd hear back in about a week and a half, but I never did. I didn't follow up because I got another job.
- Can you describe your strategies for managing stress and meeting deadlines?
- Could you outline your responsibilities in your past positions?
Marketing
I found this role on LinkedIn. The whole process, from applying to getting the offer, took about a month, with two weeks for the initial application to interview stage and another two weeks from interview to offer. My HR contact was great, very informative, especially when I reached out twice after the group interview. I had a chance to meet with my HR contact and two future colleagues. The team was really easy to get along with and they asked questions to make sure I'd be a good fit for the company. I was happy with their initial offer and accepted it.

Quality Control Inspector
It was pretty straightforward: first, a phone screen, then an in-person with HR. After that, a second interview with both HR and the manager, and then they made a job offer. Definitely read the job description carefully and ask lots of questions, some descriptions can be misleading.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Tell me about a challenging situation you faced and how you handled it.
- Why do you want to work here?
Grower Accountant
The interview process involved two initial interviews with the Supervisor and HR. These were informal and pleasant. The HR person was very professional and nice, though she left the company not long after. The interview felt easy and went well.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What specifically interests you about this particular job?
- What is your understanding of our company?
