Team Assistant
This was the most enjoyable interview process I have ever experienced. It was wonderfully challenging, but not difficult because everyone made me feel at ease. I applied in September. The interview process was straightforward and the team was highly efficient and responsive. The interview questions were engaging and showed me that the organization values people and authenticity. The interview steps included: HR Phone Screening, Panel Interview with key team members (which gave me great insight on the expectations of the role and the culture of the organization), a Work assignment, and Final Interviews with members of the Senior Leadership team.
- Can you describe your time management strategies and the tools you utilize?
- How would you support me (as an Executive) in managing a demanding calendar and maximizing my focus on key projects?
- If you were to choose a spirit animal, what would it be?
Web Producer
The whole thing was done virtually. I first spoke with the main manager, and then with another team member. I got the vibe they might have misstated what they were looking for in the job ad; it felt more like they needed a copywriter who could manage, rather than a producer who could write. Seemed like cool people and a solid company, though.
- Can you tell me about your usual background and experience?
- Do you have any questions for us?
- How do you handle unexpected challenges?
Director of Product Marketing
The interview process kicked off with an initial phone screen with HR. After that, I had a behavioral interview with the hiring manager. This was followed by a panel interview. For this, I had to prepare a presentation and answer questions from about 4 people who are close to the role. Lastly, I went through 2 more behavioral interviews, one with the COO and another with the CEO.
- Regarding past experiences, can you share some examples?
- How do you typically tackle challenges you encounter within an organization?
- What's your approach to challenges you might face in this specific role?
Customer Success Associate
I didn't make it to the interview process. The initial email after I applied was a generic one, which is understandable. However, it stated that "Our Hiring Team is committed to the fair and timely review of every candidate. Great care is taken to read every application and we are grateful for your interest in Opportunity@Work." Then, a day later, I got another generic email saying I didn't move forward. I'm curious how big this "hiring team" is if they can make a decision in just one day. For context, I have previous startup experience and over 5 years of customer service experience, plus a B.A.
