First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Operation Par.
Registered Nurse
The interview went well with the RN supervisor and director of nurses. However when I got hired they called HR and HR had some incorrect information as my previous employment a supervisor that was there no longer I put that I had not shown up for work and that is not true I had never ever not shown up for work
- Do you have experience in detox and with alcoholics and addicts?
Behavioral Tech
He was mostly concerned with my age, since I was only 5 or 6 years older than the clients, but in the end he decided it was okay. I think that they just wanted responsible people because this facility only dealt with juveniles, so it was mostly about making him comfortable with me in that sort of position. I think that if you are older this would not be as much of an issue. They were also concerned with people who might be too friendly with the clients, and let them get away with stuff, so you should appear to be very responsible.
- Would you be comfortable ordering around the kids in the program?
Counselor
I found the job on the website 'Glass Ceiling' and applied online by submitting my resume and cover page. About 8 business days later, I got a call to see if I was interested in an interview, which I accepted. I interviewed with the Program Director for about an hour. After he asked me about my experience, he told me about the salary, schedule, and benefits. There wasn't a second interview. He said I'd hear back in a week, but he called in 5 days and offered me the job, which I took.
- Do you have any experience working with people who have addiction issues?
- What's your knowledge about methadone?
Business Manager
The employer was easy to reach and responsive. It took approximately a month to finalize the background check and set up the new employee orientation. They do a drug screen and use eVerify. The training offered is good, covering ethics and diversity.
- Can you describe your relevant experience?
