Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Opera Solutions.
Data Analyst
It started with a written test, as usual, covering aptitude, logical reasoning, and verbal ability. Shortlisted students then went through three one-on-one interviews. Candidates were selected at each level to proceed to the next. All interview rounds involved puzzles, questions about opera, and interpreting graphs presented on the spot. They also asked questions based on the resume.
- If the probability of a car passing point A on a road within 20 minutes is p, what is the probability of a car passing in 2 minutes?
Data Analyst
The hiring process was pretty slow. We were contacted after a month of the day we applied. There were 3 rounds of interviews, including a preliminary written test. Post interview, it took them more than 3 weeks to confirm selection and joining
- Questions related to Excel were asked.
- General IQ questions were posed.
- Questions about observation skills were included.
Data Analyst
5 Rounds total - 1 written, 4 one-on-one. They assume you have basic knowledge, so even if you know the answer to a hard question, they won't listen. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. The interviewers and senior leaders were the worst. Background checks lack privacy. You've been warned: give the interview at your own risk because your information will be leaked to your company the next day.
- Mostly puzzles.
