After resumes are screened, candidates are moved to the next stage. Wait-listed candidates will be contacted for interviews. I went through 4 rounds of interviews. The first two were with partners, one from NY and another from India. The last two were with associates who were also alumni from my university. The interviews covered guesstimate/business cases, HR questions, and puzzles.
- Given two eggs, what's the most efficient strategy to find the highest floor from which an egg can be dropped without breaking?
Business Analyst
I applied through my college's career posting. There was a first round on campus and a final round in the office. Each round had two standard half-hour interviews. The first round was mostly behavioral/fit questions with some brainteasers. The second round was all case questions. The interviewers were really nice and easy to talk to, and the questions felt fair, but it took them a really long time to let me know their decision. I had my first round in early October, the second in late November, and didn't hear back until early/mid January.
- Can you describe how you would go about evaluating the credit card industry?
Business Analyst
So for the first round of interviews, I applied through the usual on-campus recruiting. It was two 30-minute interviews. Each one was half behavioral questions and then a short case. The behavioral part was pretty standard, nothing too tricky. The first case was about market sizing, and the second was a general business problem. The interviewers weren't super strict on the cases, and since I'd prepped a lot, they went quite well. I'm waiting to find out if I'll move on to the next stage.
