Operations
It was a very long 7-step interview process for a role that isn't even a C-suite position. The job market is bad, and that's the only reason I even considered this whole thing. The first few stages were okay, but then the meeting with the Head of HR was a total mess. It was obvious within the first two minutes of the call that he didn't want to interview me. He seemed uninterested, didn't make eye contact, and was practically rude. His background is in finance, and it's clear he doesn't know how to conduct interviews properly.
- Can you explain how your background relates to the requirements of this position?
Frontend Engineer
The process started with a technical screen by the frontend tech lead, who was professional, kind, and insightful. The questions were quite easy, and I answered them all correctly. I even impressed the interviewer by finding critical bugs on their website beforehand, like duplicate requests on keystrokes and minor CSS/UI bugs. Then, I was asked to implement a redux-like pub/sub system in under 20 minutes, which I completed in about 10. The interviewer tested it using Chrome devtools, and it worked perfectly for all cases. After this positive technical interview, I was referred to another interview which I assume was with HR and a psychologist. This second interview was with a 'psychologist' who was described as horrendous and psychotic, more interested in insulting and unsettling me from the start. She called me a 'wild horse' before I even spoke, seemingly due to my appearance (not being shaved and not having a 'proper' haircut). She then probed into my childhood and other personal issues, with a zombie-like HR representative present. The HR also expressed doubts about my resume due to frequent job changes (every 1-2 years). Despite these doubts, they decided to 'give me a chance' for this psychologist interview. The technical interviewer was highly professional and friendly, but the HR felt disengaged, and the psychologist was perceived as horrible. Based on other reviews about the work environment, I'm now glad I didn't get the chance.

Partner Success Manager
The interview process was very clear and painless. Djoye made sure I was comfortable the entire time and outlined clear next steps throughout. Throughout each next step I knew exactly what I had to do and when I followed up she promptly responded to any and all of my questions. All interviewers I interacted with were passionate and open to answering all my questions. I appreciated that the interview process allowed me to get a real sense of what the culture was like. Even more, I liked that I had a chance to interview with a cross-functional partner to see what that experience would be like rather than just the partner success department silo.

Product Analyst
It was a really intense but quick interview process, finishing in less than 3 weeks from the first phone call. There was a 2-hour professional exam, and thankfully no take-home assignment. The recruiters were very responsive and helpful. The process had several stages, and they were happy to move quickly. The stages included: 1. A personal and professional interview with the team leader (my direct manager). 2. A personal and professional interview with the VP of Data. 3. A personal interview with the VP of Product. 4. A personal interview with the COO.
- For a given data set, what KPIs would you use to measure performance, and can you show two different ways to do SQL manipulations on it using techniques like self join/partition by or WITH/nest?
- How do you determine if an A/B test is functioning correctly?
