I had a phone screening with the recruiter for the Account Development Representative role, which they mentioned was a replacement position. The recruiter asked basic questions about my background and then set up a second interview with the hiring manager. I asked the recruiter for any preparation advice, and they suggested looking into Opentext products on their website. The hiring manager's interview started with a company overview, followed by about 20 minutes of them talking about themselves. They asked a few questions but frequently interrupted my answers. They also made some jokes that weren't related to the conversation. The hiring manager seemed very distracted, constantly checking their phone for notifications and replying to others. They also stressed that they don't hire candidates without enterprise experience. The interview, initially scheduled for 30 minutes, extended to 1 hour and 20 minutes due to their interruptions and distraction. I felt it was a waste of time because the interviewer was clearly not focused while I was speaking.

Started with a recruitment agent, then a chat with the hiring manager to see if we were a good fit. After that, a roleplay with the hiring manager and their manager. Finally, a quick call with the regional sales director to go over everything and check my language skills.

Getting in touch with the recruiter took a really long time and a lot of effort. Once I heard back though, things moved pretty fast. After a bunch of interviews where they mainly asked about my past experiences, the recruiter gave me some good news, but no solid confirmation yet. I had to follow up a bunch of times about the offer letter, and the recruiter eventually apologized because it turned out to be a rejection. Honestly, it was a terrible experience that messed with my confidence for a bit. I definitely wouldn't want to work for OpenText or suggest it to anyone else after this.
