First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OpenText.
Technical Support Specialist
So, I had this interview, and it was pretty good. First, there was an HR chat, then a technical part where they hit me with some scenario questions about the job. The person interviewing was cool, made it easy to explain stuff. I liked how they focused on solving problems and talking things through, plus I got to ask about the team and how things work around here. It was a good chance to show what I can do and also get a feel for the company and what they care about.
- What are the steps for troubleshooting network issues?
- Can you describe the steps for troubleshooting SQL problems?
- What are the troubleshooting steps for Java?
Technical Support Specialist
I'm really let down by my interview at OpenText. After doing three rounds between March and April 2025, which was about three weeks, they didn't decide anything for months. I kept asking for updates and they always said they were 'waiting for manager responses.' This went on until July 2025, and then I just got an automated rejection email. It was so impersonal and rude, especially after all that waiting.
- Can you explain how you would diagnose a DNS issue?
Cloud Support Engineer
I had a 40-minute phone interview where they asked about my IT background, organizational skills, communication abilities, software and networking knowledge, and how I perform under high stress. They also wanted a specific example of a tough customer situation, how I handled it, guided the customer through it professionally, and showed initiative.
- What technical questions do you have about networking and clouding?
