Behavioral Technical Other

A rigorous interview process was done, including an initial screening and a detailed hiring manager evaluation to check cultural alignment, core competencies, and if the role is a good fit before moving candidates forward. I didn’t really get much more information about what the next steps would be.

Phone interview. Person doing the interview was very pleasant. It started on time and they were able to give a good overview of the role and company. It was 1 hour long. I learned a lot about how the company started.

A recruiter contacted me about an interview opportunity. I first had an initial interview with the recruiter, where I went over my work history. They asked if I was open to relocating to San Francisco, and I confirmed my interest a few days later via email. The second step was a brief call with the hiring manager, lasting no more than 20 minutes. The interviewer was calling from a phone booth, which caused constant interference. The questions were very basic, mostly about my work history and the challenges I had encountered. Two days later, I got a rejection email. Overall, the interview felt very superficial, with no real chance to show my actual skills for the job.
