The whole process has 3 rounds: first, a chat with the recruiter, then a talk with the SRE Director (the hiring manager), and finally, a three-hour all-hands interview session. This last part includes a general technical interview, an SRE-specific interview, and a teamwork interview. Honestly, the interviewers were super friendly and really knew their stuff. It felt like they genuinely wanted to collaborate, not just quiz you or show off, which was refreshing. They seem to understand that nobody knows everything, and there's always something new to learn from each other. For me, that kind of attitude is key, and OpenSystems really showed that.

I interviewed with the sales director, the sales engineering team, and a few other people. They all asked good questions, and seemed to be looking for high achievers who are willing to work hard. They also gave me plenty of time to ask my own questions. Based on my interactions, I could tell this company has a really passionate team, great leaders, and is set up for huge growth. This interview began with a presentation, then we dived into technical questions about unix/networking, and finally, there was a leetcode coding part. The environment seemed really stimulating, which gave me a positive impression.

First I had a recruiter call that was super chill. Then I interviewed with an SRE from the team. They told me that if I pass, the next interviews would be a hands-on session on Linux, Kubernetes, and such, followed by another interview on different SRE topics, and a final interview where they'd check how much they like me personally.
