Account Coordinator
It was a long interview process with several rounds. Started with their hiring manager, then the potential team you would work on, and then a homework assignment. If I made it to the next round, then I would have spoken to the manager.
- Can you describe the day-to-day responsibilities of your current role?
Account Coordinator
The whole process dragged on for more than five weeks. Each time I got an update or was advanced, it was always the same automated message. I completed a project, but never got any feedback or even an acknowledgment. They asked really specific job-related questions throughout the interviews and didn't leave any time for me to ask questions. This was supposed to be an entry-level position, but they didn't ask anything about me personally, my career goals, or why I was interested in the company. After several rounds and me following up, they suddenly said they were 'pausing recruitment'. This was odd because they had just reposted the job on LinkedIn a week before (and it was still up), announced they were hiring on Instagram, and the director of the team even posted about hiring on their own LinkedIn. It felt really unprofessional; they should have just been upfront and told candidates they weren't moving forward instead of saying they'd consider them when recruitment resumed. A few days later, they posted that they were now hiring for an Associate Account Manager. It seems like they weren't impressed with the candidates or felt no one was qualified, so they're now looking to hire for a higher position, even though many of us were still suitable for the original role. They seem to be searching for that perfect, superstar candidate who will probably end up overworked and underpaid. I wish they had been more empathetic and professional during this process – leading candidates on for almost two months just to 'pause hiring' is not okay.
- Can you describe your worst manager?
- What are your thoughts on specific work-related scenarios?
Account Coordinator
The interview process was quite long and frankly, a bit of a headache. I went through 5 separate interviews and also had to complete a writing test, which felt like a lot, especially since the interviewers kept asking me the same types of questions. The whole thing took 5 and a half weeks, and they were pretty slow to get interviews scheduled and to get back to me. After the 5th interview, I followed up twice and heard nothing back, which was a bummer considering how much time and effort I put in. Everyone I spoke with was nice and asked good questions, but honestly, the process itself was not well-organized.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
- What makes you interested in this particular role?
