Test Engineer
The interview process involved a 1-hour session focusing on electronics and programming technical questions. Success depends on thorough preparation, as typical electronics engineering questions are asked. It's a good company to join.
- Tell me about filters.
- Explain digital circuits.
- Discuss C programming.
Characterization Engineer
I got a call from a 3rd party recruiter and went through a total of 9 interview rounds, with 8 of them held at the Bangalore office and the last one conducted telephonically. The interviewers were from various teams. In all rounds, I received very positive feedback immediately, and some even suggested I join their teams (like the Application team) if I wasn't set on the Pixel Characterization role. They seemed very confident in my abilities; a manager even showed me the labs and explained my potential tasks. The whole process took the entire day, from 10 AM to 6 PM, but unfortunately, I didn't receive an offer. My suggestion is not to waste candidates' time with such long interviews, maybe 3-4 rounds are enough to judge someone's skills. Many people will expect an offer after investing a whole day and getting so many positive hints, even from HR.
- Questions on electrical circuit design.
- Questions on the PN junction concept.
- Questions on the Transistor concept.
Test Engineer
The interview was quite long, about 8 hours. It kicked off with a 60-minute presentation where I discussed a past project. This involved 40 minutes for the presentation itself and then 20 minutes of Q&A. Following that, I had five separate one-on-one interviews. After the first two of these, I had lunch with the hiring manager. The process concluded with a background check.
- Can you explain device physics?
- Describe how a transistor functions, including a drawing and explanation.
