Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at onsemi.
Applications Engineer
They asked questions based on my resume, so make sure you're ready to talk about your projects. The whole interview experience was pretty good, and they were flexible with the process for me. The technical questions could be on the tougher side depending on the role you're going for.
- Can you tell me about a project you worked on?
- What were some technical challenges you faced in that project and how did you overcome them?
Application Engineer
HR reached out and scheduled an interview for the next day. I met with two engineers for about 2-3 hours to discuss the role, and we had lunch afterwards. Another interview with senior management was scheduled for after that day. However, since then, I haven't heard back from HR. They haven't responded to my emails or text messages, which I found quite rude.
- Can you describe the projects listed on your resume?
- Tell me more about your projects.
- What's your experience with Op amps?
Application Engineer
It was a campus placement process. There were a total of three interviews. Two of them were technical rounds and the other one was an HR round. One of the technical interviews focused on communication protocols like I2C and SPI. The other technical interview was about my past experience.
- Can you explain DAC conversion?
- Tell me about embedded systems.
- What was your role in the mini-project involving GPS and GSM?
