Software Engineer
I applied for the Entry Level Software Engineer role and connected with a recruiter in Tampa Bay. He then arranged a phone interview for me with the Director of Application Development at Docuphase. This call lasted around 50 minutes. We talked about some computer science topics and he asked me several specific questions about the code on my GitHub. The interview experience was good, but unfortunately, I didn't hear back from them afterwards.
- Can you explain recursion and its disadvantages?
- How does recursion apply to binary search trees?
- What are the time complexities associated with array sorting?
Software Developer
Had a phone interview which was surprisingly cold and rigid, not the casual chat I was expecting. It felt very scripted, like they were just going through the motions, possibly with a candidate already in mind. I didn't get an offer, and honestly, I probably wouldn't have taken it anyway. I tried to follow up but only got an automated reply, which was disappointing for a company of this size. Good luck.
- Questions about .Net
- Questions about generics
- Questions about multi-threading
Sales Development Representative
I met with different department heads for about 15-30 minutes each. Everyone was really nice and made me feel comfortable. It was a casual conversation. They asked me about my experience, where I saw myself in the future, and what my longterm goals were.
- What's your long-term plan?
- What are your personal goals?
