First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OneVision Resources.
Technology Specialist
The hiring process started with a phone interview with the director of people, where we discussed my background and understanding of OneVision. He shared the company's vision and origin story. Then, he asked some questions about my technical background, not to test me, but to see how comfortable I was talking about the industry. This initial call felt more like a chance for them to get to know me rather than a typical interview. The in-person group interview was the highlight for me. Coming from an Apple retail background, these group settings felt familiar. We did some fun team-building and problem-solving activities and answered some challenging trivia questions. The most nerve-wracking part was illustrating the signal flow of a home network and home theatre on a whiteboard. While my background helped, others might want to prepare for this. Since this role involves a lot of emailing, strong written communication skills are essential. From the initial phone call to the offer, the interview process was one of the best I've experienced. The onboarding that followed was so thorough that even without prior technical skills, I would have acquired them.
- There were no difficult or unexpected questions to report.
Technology Specialist
The entire hiring process was chaotic and took about four months from the initial phone call until an interview was finally scheduled. It initially seemed like a great opportunity due to the excellent benefits, but the process itself was quite disappointing. Despite promising interview feedback, they didn't provide any, even after I called back and left a voicemail. Be warned: the opportunity might look good, but you could end up in a startup lacking clear direction.
- No actual technical questions were posed.
- There wasn't sufficient time for questions.
Technology Specialist
This interview process was pretty different and cool, more hands-on and less pressure than usual. I felt comfortable being myself since there weren't any standard interview questions. The team is really nice and welcoming, they seem to want to hire genuinely good and smart people.
- What's a song you'd definitely sing at karaoke?
