First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OneSubsea.
Intern
It was a phone interview, quite direct but with questions in English that ended up making it a bit more difficult since it wasn't expected for a first interview with HR.
- Tell me about yourself, tell me about your favorite series in English.
Trainee Engineer
Super cool interview process with a group dynamic activity. They test your knowledge in oil and gas, plus general engineering stuff like technical drawing, strength of materials, and machine elements. English is a must, but other languages like Spanish are a plus.
- Why should we hire you?
Project Coordinator
I got a surprise call from a recruiter who asked if I had time to chat, and it turned out to be an interview. A week later, after hearing nothing, they asked for my university credentials. I was interviewed a week after that, which went well, and then they asked for my references. It's been 2.5 weeks and I still haven't heard anything, not even feedback that I didn't get the job.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
OETP Engineer
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with an on-campus interview. About two weeks after that, I was informed about the second round, which involved traveling to their Houston location. The second round included a tour of their R&D facility on the first day, followed by office tours and interviews on the second day. A minor hiccup was receiving automated rejection emails from the online application system even after proceeding in the process, like getting a rejection email post-on-campus interview, only to be personally invited for a second round two weeks later.
- Could you walk me through a program from your senior design project and explain how you'd present its functionality to clients?
