First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OneClass.
Community Manager
I had a phone interview scheduled. The regional manager for my district called me at the scheduled time. We had a brief phone chat where they asked me some questions and also told me more about OneClass and its benefits. After the interview, they offered me a spot on the team and took my email to send me my starting package. It was a quick process and I got the job right away, which was awesome!
- What do you know about what OneClass offers?
- How would you respond to someone who claims OneClass promotes plagiarism or is illegal while you're promoting it?
Tutor
You get an email asking you to click a link and take some tests for whatever subjects you want to tutor. Really, the only interview is just emailing with a representative. If you take the English or ESL tests, you'll find a lot of mistakes in the questions. Like, one question was about the Bloom's Taxonomy pyramid, but it was the 1956 version. Apparently, they don't know it was updated in 2003, so you couldn't possibly know how to answer.
- Tests to gauge your knowledge in the subjects you want to teach.
- Subject matter quizzes.
Marketing
This was a terrible interview experience. The interviewer was very rude and kept cutting me off before I could finish my thoughts. The interview lasted over an hour. I could tell this person wasn't from HR and didn't know how to conduct an interview properly. They made me feel inferior and unqualified, and even laughed when I was unsure about some questions, which just lowered my self-esteem further as the interview went on.
- Can you tell me what you know about oneclass?
Software Engineer
The interview process was quite lengthy, involving questions that covered a wide range of topics across the tech stack. It went from basic concepts like HTTP and HTML to more complex subjects such as deadlocks and various transaction types.
- Explain array intersection.
- Could you define HTTP?
