First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at One Rockwell.
ECommerce Manager
The interview process was pretty straightforward, and I felt like I was doing really well because they showed a lot of interest and gave me positive feedback throughout the first three interviews. After the last one, though, they stopped communicating, and I had to chase down a few different people on the interviewing team to find out they had decided to go with another candidate.
- Tell me about your experience using xyz programs.
Business Analyst
Started with a brief interest call, then a homework assignment was given. Following that, I had an in-person meeting with team members for some chat and then to do some in-person assignment questions. The vibe was friendly, open, and professional.
- Tell me about your eCommerce experience.
Graphic Designer
I talked with the recruiter and the hiring manager. They were both really nice and asked direct questions. The interview was about 30 minutes. They shared that it's a remote company but they make an effort for employees to connect personally through virtual events, which I thought was great.
- Walk me through how you gather inspiration and create initial sketches or wireframes when kicking off a new project.
Full Stack Software Engineer
Had a phone chat with the recruiter, then got a take-home assignment to build a web page. It was pretty involved for an application, but they didn't ask algorithm questions or test me on specific framework details. After that, there was an in-person interview.
- Could you build both the backend and frontend of a website using Docker, a PHP framework, and a JavaScript framework?
