I had a virtual interview on a Friday. It was a pretty casual conversation about One North, TEKsystems, and the job. It seemed like a typical first round. He said he thought I'd be a good fit and would pass my info to the hiring manager, and I should hear back early the next week. I never heard back and my follow-up emails got no response. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful.

A recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn for this role. We had a brief call to chat about the job and what they're looking for. Then, I went in for an in-person interview with the hiring manager, where we discussed my work style and what I'm into. It was a pretty chill chat that included going over a project I worked on. After that, they invited me back to meet the rest of the team. This part involved several 30-minute chats with different folks across the company. It was cool to get all these different viewpoints and see how UX fits into everything.

I applied through a school portal and about two weeks later, I received an email requesting a preliminary phone interview. The questions were standard (why are you interested, etc.) and three days later, I was called in for an in-person interview. The in-person interview was long, over two hours, and I spoke with six different people. It was interesting to learn about how each person worked together and how my position would fit in. They were invested in teaching me about the business and learning about my skills. I know they were interviewing four other people at the same time, but I didn't see other candidates, so the coordination seemed impressive.

Started with friendly chats with leadership about my background and what they do. Then had a more casual chat with future teammates. Finally, there was a team chemistry exercise that was like a real team situation. It was tough but fun and showed what the people are like and how they work. Everyone seemed smart and nice, the type of folks you'd want to work with. Really positive experience overall.
