First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at One Network Enterprises.
Senior QA Engineer
So there are 3 rounds in total. First is usually an online test or a written test. If you are a Java developer, you'll get a Java test. For automation testing, it's a basic Java and Selenium test. The test is pretty straightforward and not too hard. After that, there's a technical interview with the local team. The second round is mostly with a senior technical person, either from the US team or the local team. The third round is basically a chat with the Director, which usually means you've got the job.
- Could you explain Java Basics?
- Can you describe inheritance in Java?
- What is the difference between static and non-static variables/methods?
Quality Assurance Engineer
The HR Recruiter was super professional and kept me in the loop. She mentioned the hiring managers were really selective and made sure everyone took a test. I got the test by email and had one hour to finish it. It had 15 short essay questions and 5 multiple-choice questions, basically testing fundamental QA knowledge. After that, I got invited for an interview. I was a bit surprised because most of the interview questions were basically a follow-up to the written test I'd already taken. Instead of assessing my problem-solving, methodical thinking, or teamwork skills, it felt more like an interrogation. It was a panel interview with four interviewers at once, and they drilled me on basic QA concepts. The questions were so confusing, I thought I might be missing something. Within 20 minutes, I realized this wasn't the right fit for me, and I didn't want to work with these people. Three out of the four managers interviewing me didn't seem qualified to interview others; they just wanted to show off their QA knowledge and critique my answers. They really need to learn how to conduct behavioral interviews. After the interview, I emailed the HR recruiter to thank her and asked to be withdrawn from the process.
- If a team of ten software developers who have worked on a product for 5 years needs to develop a new version within 3 months, including testing, what would your QA estimate be?
Software QA Tester
The interview process was extremely unprofessional. The recruiter was very poor and seemed uninterested, ignoring my availability and calling at inconvenient times. Both interviews were conducted without a camera, even though I was asked to use mine. The interviewers appeared unprepared. The job offer had a very low salary, and HR was slow to respond and unwilling to negotiate.
- Could you answer some very basic manual testing questions?
