First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ondaro.
Intern
The interview itself was pretty straightforward, done via video call. They go over your resume and might ask about your experience with some things on it. They test your English level and ask how much you already know about the ServiceNow platform. This struck me as odd because my friend who started interning there last semester said they didn't require prior platform knowledge from him. I was caught off guard and said no. They advised me to complete some short introductory courses on the platform and email the certificates. After doing that, about two weeks passed until I was notified that I wasn't accepted.
- Were you asked if you had prior knowledge of using the ServiceNow platform?
Software Developer
Recruiter is super flaky and ghosts a lot. I don't recommend bothering. He acts super excited, says the process will be quick, promises to follow up in a few days, and then just stops replying to all follow-ups. Really weird behavior. No idea why they hired this guy when recruiters are a dime a dozen.
- When can you start since we want to move forward?
System Administrator
After I applied, I had a basic screening call with the recruiter. It seemed to go really well. A few days later, they scheduled a second interview with the hiring manager and I confirmed the time, but then I never received a link for it. I followed up, but still nothing. On the day of the interview, no link came. I thought I was ghosted. Then, a few weeks later, the recruiter reached out saying they got feedback from the hiring manager and chose other candidates. How could they give feedback on an interview they never conducted? It's frustrating to take time off work and adjust schedules for this, especially since it happens so often. Companies need to stop treating candidates this way.
- What's making you want to leave your present job?
Technical Consultant
I had an initial phone screening with the recruiter. Then I got an Excel file with dev stories to do on a SN developer instance, and a design doc to complete before the tech screening. Some stuff in the Excel was old or didn't match the design doc. The next week I had a technical interview that went well, the interviewer seemed interested and excited. Then it went quiet for two weeks, I tried following up a bunch but heard nothing back. I spent a lot of time preparing for the tech interview while juggling my job, only to not get any updates on my interview status.
- Can you explain what an array is and its uses?
