Behavioral Presentation

The first interview with the hiring manager was great. We got along well, discussed the position and the basics. Then, a second interview, which also went great. I was asked to create a PPT presentation, which I did. Moved on to a third interview, also great. Everyone was very friendly, the hiring manager was communicative, calling me multiple times and texting. I really enjoyed speaking with all of them. Friday evening I received a call asking my salary requirements and was told they'd have a decision by Tuesday. No call, no email. I was completely ghosted. I emailed to see if they were perhaps still in the process of deciding, and didn't even get a reply. Super unprofessional, reflects terribly on the company, especially after 3 interviews and being told I was on the shortlist.

So first round was great. Very typical background and conceptual questions. Went very well on my end. Second round was a technical question which asked me to solve an ND array problem.... as a devops engineer, nothing pertaining to the knowledge I have in Docker, K8s, Terraform. Final round was a behavioral and I believe it went well, what was awful was that I had to reach out to my recruiter to get it scheduled as they seemed to have "forgotten". Waited two weeks and reached out for a status on positioning, never heard back. Terrible practice if this is how they handle all interviews.

They called me 15 minutes earlier than scheduled after changing the interview time multiple times. The HR person spent 20 minutes promoting the company. He asked only one question about my daily routine. My answer wasn't suitable because I was applying for a different role. When I tried to discuss relevant topics for the position, he said he had to leave and the time was up. The interview was 25 minutes total, and I barely spoke for 5. It seems like the interviewer didn't manage the time or questions well, rather than simply deciding I wasn't a fit.

It was a quick hiring process. I spoke with three senior people. They asked about my background, why I left my last job, and my thoughts on credit risk for specific deals. There wasn't a formal case study. I got an offer pretty smoothly after that.
