I applied for this role and got an initial screening call the very next day, which happened a couple days after that. It was pretty basic and covered the job duties, what to expect throughout the interview stages, and they mentioned the salary range is $25k - $30k with a lot of potential for fast advancement. The pay isn't great, but I was curious enough about the growth opportunities, and I find interacting with customers is a good way to learn about a company. Then, I was given a software scenario to complete within 48 hours using a trial account for their scheduling system. It took about 45 minutes and they approved it quickly; it involved setting up hypothetical appointments within specific time frames. Following that, I had a 45-minute analytical test where I had to read a very technical article about a search engine algorithm. I was then told I'd have a 20-minute discussion to answer questions about my understanding of the article and my ability to explain it to someone without technical expertise. I understood the article well enough to summarize its content and took extensive notes to translate the technical jargon and math into simpler terms and examples, anticipating I'd need to explain it to someone unfamiliar with the article or search engine algorithms. However, the questions were very focused on the math, specific technical details, and formulas from the article, even asking about particular results. This wasn't about understanding and explaining to a non-technical person; it was more about recalling specific technical terms from the article or facing awkward silences. I was turned off by how time-consuming and irrelevant the HR hiring process was to the actual job. While I'm fine with traditional candidate assessments and personality tests, their version of an 'analytical assessment' is questionable. I would have preferred questions about the algorithm's goals, evaluation methods, or potential flaws in the study, rather than highly specific technical details.

This process was ridiculous. The reviews were right! It was totally pointless. The first call was a joke. Then there was a personality test and an aptitude test, which were also a joke. Both tests should only take about 25 minutes. They were super easy but pointless. Lots of tricky, repetitive questions on the personality assessment. The whole interview process is broken and a joke. Honestly, it feels like it's just designed to trick you and then let you go. If you're too smart, they don't want you.

I applied online and shortly after got an invite for a screening call. The whole thing had 3 main parts: first, a screening call with a recruiter, then two assessments, and finally video interviews with the Director of Customer Success, HR Director, and CEO. It was a super straightforward and fast process. Everyone I spoke with was professional and helpful, and scheduling all the interviews was a breeze.
