Inside Sales Manager
This was a ten month interview process, starting with a sketchy automated email in late 2019 with lots of colored fonts and links. One link was to schedule an interview, another was to finish my profile and take an IQ and personality quiz. The quiz had simple math problems and asked about reliability on a scale of 1-5. After the quiz, I scheduled an interview using a 'whenever you want' scheduler. I got an automated email with just the date, time, and location. No other communication, no human contact. On the interview day, I called HR and got voicemail. I emailed HR and someone confirmed my interview. I showed up to what looked like a dismal call center with motivational banners. The interviewer, who was a receptionist, had no idea what role I was interviewing for. She didn't know anything about the role and only asked if I treat colleagues with respect. I also found out call center employees don't get PTO for their first year and only get state-mandated sick days, with no benefits for the first 90 days. The next day, I got another automated email to do the same profile and scheduling tasks.
- Do you have a pulse?
Outbound Sales Representative
The interview process was pretty straightforward and brief. I went in, answered some questions about my resume, and then I had a chance to ask them some questions. After that, they asked about my availability to start. That was pretty much it.
- What are your job aspirations?
- When would you be able to start working?
Customer Service Representative
I had an online interview scheduled. I got there about 15 minutes early and the employees were super nice. I took a test that checked my skills, and then the interview started maybe 10 minutes later. They asked me some questions and I had to sign some papers about the training.
- Could you tell me about yourself, your school and job history?
- It included a 45-minute skill assessment covering Math, English, Typing, and Personality, and the employees who greeted you were lovely and friendly.
Customer Service Representative
It was a pretty straightforward process. I just had to answer a couple of questions from the hiring manager. I got offered the job at the end of the interview, assuming I pass the skills test. The skills test looked at my typing speed and how well I can navigate the web.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What appeals to you about a customer service role?
