The hiring manager sat with me at one of the unused tables for the interview. She explained to me the concept of the restaurant and helped me understand the expected responsibilities associated with this position.

It was quick and super simple, very straightforward. They weren't looking for critical thinking, just enthusiasm and friendliness. I sat down in a booth and talked with two different managers. Other staff members who passed by were friendly and said hello. Make sure to bring a resume.

I got an interview set up, but when I arrived, management seemed to have forgotten. They hired me right away and told me they'd call for orientation. Nobody called for a week, so I called them. One manager said they were waiting to finish up interviews for a specific orientation date. So I waited another week, still no call. I called again, and a different manager answered, the one I interviewed with. He said orientation had already begun two weeks prior. They called everyone back and couldn't figure out why I didn't get a call. I had already filled out all the paperwork and I distinctly remember him saying "congrats." They said they'd call back, and I never heard from them again. Super disorganized people.

The hiring process was pretty straightforward. I got called in for an interview, and I met with the manager who has since moved on. We talked about my past experiences, my suitability for a serving role, and my interest in On the Border. We also discussed the restaurant's expectations, and she said she thought I'd be a great fit and a valuable addition to the team.
