Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was ridiculous. I answered everything completely and accurately, but after promising a panel interview (6 x 45 min interviews) and pushing it out a month, they emailed me to say they are pivoting and going with someone else. It was sick, rude, and inconsiderate, especially when people are struggling and don't have time for games.

The interview process involved 4 rounds, including meetings with HR and a VP of Finance. After these initial positive interactions, where my background was well-received, I inquired about any reservations they might have about my candidacy. They confirmed they had no such concerns. However, after the final interviews on a Monday, there was a delay in communication. I followed up on Friday and again the following Tuesday with no response. On Wednesday, I was informed they had proceeded with another candidate. This lengthy delay, after a quick initial process, was unexpected and is shared as feedback for both future applicants and Omnidian's HR department.

The interview started with a standard question about why I want to leave my current job. My answer was that the company culture no longer aligns with my personal aspirations and I'm ready for a change. I spoke highly of my current employer, just mentioning the cultural shift. The rest of the interview, about 20 out of 30 minutes, focused on follow-up questions about my reason for leaving. The interviewer was a few minutes late and had a hard stop, so there wasn't time for me to share more about myself. The interviewer mentioned that culture is unique and can't be replicated, but the lack of relevant questions about my experience felt impersonal and off-putting. It seems like Omnidian might be a good company for some, but their interview process could really improve in making candidates feel valued, regardless of the outcome. I wasn't moved forward, which I respect, but they don't know my HR experience because they didn't ask relevant questions. This experience made me lose interest in working there for the foreseeable future.

The selection process consisted of four rounds. It began with an initial conversation with HR, followed by interviews with the direct line manager and team leaders. Each round covered a mix of general and behavioral questions, along with discussions around my professional experience and approach to work. Although it took approximately two months to receive the final offer, the timeline and expectations were clearly communicated from the outset, which made the process feel transparent and well-managed. Overall, it was an excellent experience—professional, engaging, and well structured.
