E-commerce Associate
The hiring process is pretty standard. First, you apply. Then, there's a screening and they schedule an interview date. After that, you have the interview itself. Finally, there's an acceptance call or letter. The whole thing usually takes less than a month.
- Could you start by telling me a bit about yourself?
- Can you elaborate on your responsibilities in your previous role at [previous company]?
- What specifically draws you to a career in e-commerce?
PPC Specialist
I applied and then got an email to schedule a phone screen. The phone interview was mainly questions about my resume and application, like where I live, my work status, and salary expectations. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview the following week. There, I met with a Manager and two PPC Managers. The manager asked some tough questions, while the other two hadn't read my resume. Then, the manager gave me a 10-minute test to navigate their Ad-words, analyze their campaigns, and present recommendations. I did it and gave my suggestions. Afterward, the manager asked for my references and said she'd get back to me. I emailed them, but after two weeks of no response, I got an email saying they hired someone else.
- Can you describe the types of Campaigns you have experience with, including budget and companies?
- What kinds of campaigns have you managed, what were their budgets, and for which companies?
- Tell me about the campaigns you've worked on, their budgets, and the companies involved.
Marketing Project Coordinator
I applied online and got a call for a phone screen pretty fast. The CEO was supposed to call at a certain time but was 2 hours late without any heads-up. After that, there was a 15-minute chat with the CEO and then a 15-minute interview with 4 employees. They asked basic stuff about my background and work history. The CEO was good, asked relevant questions, and answered mine. But the employees, despite their senior titles, seemed really junior, not engaged, unprepared, and intimidated by the candidates. Nobody ever got back to me about the outcome or to say if they wanted to move forward.
- What salary are you expecting?
- Have you ever worked with Google Analytics?
- Have you created reports based on data?
Marketing Executive
I met with the owner first and then I had an interview with their team. The owner contacted me again saying the team had good things to say about me, and asked if I still felt like I was a good fit for the job and if I wanted to be considered for the final rounds. I said yes. I reached out again to say thank you, and didn't get any response. I followed up a second time and still heard nothing.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
