It was a really thorough interview process. I had 4 separate interviews: first, a meeting with the Office Manager to check for initial culture fit. Then, a meeting with HR and the department head. After that, a technical interview, which was a round table with other current employees in the role I applied for. Lastly, a culture interview, also a round table with other current employees. The culture dynamic is clearly very important to them. OMG wants to hire for culture first, skills second, it seems. I have a feeling this is what leads to a low turnover rate.

The OMG Commerce team is amazing! They radiate positivity and inclusivity; making it easy to be thrilled to be a part of the team. I grew more and more attracted to the company going through the interview process. They were very transparent throughout each stage, making sure I felt this company was the right fit for me. OMG took it a step further during the interview process by right-fitting me into a slightly different role than I initially applied for after listening to my goals, personality, and skills. I really feel like I can strive in my role because of their recruiting process!

The interview process is long (4 interviews in total). It is great meeting new people along the way. The people at OMG are great. My interviews were scheduled about a week and a half apart. The interviews took about 45 minutes. I made it to the third interview with the CEO, Brett, and two other employees. Brett mentioned that I would move on to the fourth interview and keep an eye out for that email. I felt confident after the interview! The following email I received told me they were not interested in me as a candidate anymore. I asked for feedback about my interview process to help me succeed in future interviews and learn why I was not being considered, but the company ghosted me. It was confusing because they told me in the interview that they would like for me to move on. But after emailing, I never heard back. Overall, I could see how the interview process would be a good experience if you received an offer letter. And if you're reading this with an interview coming up good luck! I recommend not putting all of your eggs into one basket and continuing to look for other opportunities while this multiple-week process takes place.

The interview process is pretty lengthy but definitely worth it and fun! The office manager reached out to me first for a phone interview, then I had an interview with their COO in person, then an interview with my potential Director, and finally a team interview! I honestly enjoyed each interview as it felt more like a conversation than a formal interview. Each interviewer was super easy to talk to and incredibly knowledgeable about the company! Some of the questions were hard to answer, but that's just based on the fact that they don't ask "typical" interview questions. It really got me to think about my answer carefully and truthfully and I appreciated that.
