I enjoyed the interview process. I spoke with 5 to 6 people individually for about 30 minutes each. It was enough time to get to know folks in a lot of different roles, to get a view of the company culture, and to understand how the organization functions. Everyone was familiar with my resume and asked specific questions about my experience, and there was a lot of opportunity to ask questions of my own. Felt an emphasis on open, transparent communication and on flexibility. Seems like it would be a good place to work. There was a verbal indication that an offer would be coming, but I have not yet received it.

Applied directly through their website and about a week later, I got a call for a phone interview. It was with a recruiter, but they didn't know much about the science or the role, so I didn't learn much about the job. They asked me to introduce myself, what I knew about the company, why I was interested, and my future plans. They also asked some really specific follow-up questions. Two days later, I got an email to set up a Zoom interview. This second interview had two separate 30-minute sessions: one with the team manager and another with a team member. For an entry-level job, I was surprised by how technical it was; the whole interview focused on my past work experience and the detailed techniques I'd used. They kept interrupting to ask even more specific questions, which felt unprofessional and hard to follow. I was underprepared for this part, so maybe that's why it felt so intense. My advice is to really know the fine details of the techniques you've used, how they work, and what they achieve. It's been two weeks with no word, so they might not tell candidates if they don't get the job.

So, it was a typical 3-step interview process. First, I had a general chat with the recruiter. Then, I spoke with my direct supervisor. The final step was a panel interview, which was pretty intense: 6 people, 30 minutes each, with a 30-minute break in the middle. After all that, I never heard back and was pretty much ghosted, even after sending follow-up emails about the status. They ended up hiring someone else but told me their internal processes were slower than expected, instead of just saying they chose another candidate.

Had a long interview process with lots of people. It was pretty good, but like others, they ghosted me after many interviews. I followed up and they said there would be another 2 hour interview, and then they ghosted me again. They didn't seem to focus on a specific job function even though I applied for a specific role. It felt like they were just mining my commercialization expertise, so be careful with how transparent they are. You should look into their financial health and strategy.
