Executive Easy Negative experience Decline offer

The interview process was a bad experience. It was clearly an environment with aggressive micromanagement and politicking, which was very very clear in the interview process. It felt like they interviewed exactly how not to interview. The interviews kept going on, and on, and on, and the goalposts kept consistently changing.

Applied on LinkedIn and heard back from a recruiter who was professional and knowledgeable. Next step was an interview with the COO, Irfan, via Zoom, which was completely unprofessional. He didn't seem prepared, was distracted, and clearly not organized. He mentioned he also oversees marketing, finance, customer success, and professional services, and that he owns/took over the company. He asked several personal questions, which I tried to steer back to the interview. The call lasted 36 minutes. I didn't send a follow-up email to him because it was embarrassing. It didn't feel real. Reading Glassdoor, I saw he's been doing 2-hour 'deep dives' for the same position since June. I'm not sure if he's actually hiring or just talking to people. It was odd. Hopefully, they figure out their hiring needs for Customer Success or their plan. It was a waste of time.

They reviewed my resume and had me discuss the points on it. They were really nice and engaging, making connections with me about various things I mentioned. The interview took about an hour and a half.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I went through the initial screening and then talked with managers for a second round. After that, I had a 2-hour deep dive with the COO, Ifran. The standard interview part went fine, and I only had to nudge them a couple times about next steps or to schedule the meeting. But after the deep dive, I heard nothing back about my status, even after following up. It felt unprofessional to not get any word about them deciding not to move forward, and it gave me a bad vibe about the company.
