Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Oliver Wyman.
Research Analyst
Applied online and then there was an HR screening where they asked if I was still interested. After that, I had an interview with a Senior Manager to discuss my background and answer my questions. This was followed by an assessment. Unfortunately, after the assessment, I was ghosted with no further updates on the offer status.
- Can you walk me through your previous work experiences?
- What are your salary expectations?
Research Analyst
The interview process had 4 rounds. One of the rounds was a case study which took place online and lasted an hour, without internet access. The interviewer was nice. They responded quickly after each interview.
- Tell me about your background with databases and research.
Research Analyst
After applying online through LinkedIn, I went through a total of 5 interview stages, which took around 5 weeks. Even though it was a lengthy process, everyone I interacted with was helpful, interesting, and seemed very motivated. The first round was a phone interview with two senior researchers I'd be working with directly. Next, I had a timed case interview. The final three rounds were phone interviews with senior consultants or colleagues located internationally.
- Can you describe your experience?
- Could you share some behavioral examples from your background?
