Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Olenick.
Consultant
I had two initial phone screens, each about 30 minutes. The first was with a Talent Manager, and the second was with a Technical Team Specialist. The final interview was an onsite with the Olenick Team and the Manager. The process included a one-on-one review of my resume, and they asked technical and behavioral questions. The interview was pretty easy, a 9 out of 10 on the difficulty scale.
- The team asked technical questions related to my experience, specifically about my Unix experience and the commands I've used.
- They asked me to verbally state the syntax for an Update SQL command.
Consultant
The first interview was a phone call with HR to discuss my career goals and what Olenick & Associates offers. They also asked some standard behavioral questions, like future aspirations. The second stage was an onsite interview with four separate one-on-one meetings. I first met with the Director of HR who talked about company culture and assessed my fit. Then, the Senior VP asked technical questions based on my resume. Next, the VP of Lean and Agile Engineering asked about SQL and design patterns. Finally, the IT recruiter conducted a round of behavioral questions.

Senior Consultant
The whole process took 2 weeks. Recruiters were super friendly. First, I chatted with a recruiter about my projects and roles. Then, I had a 40-minute phone interview which went well. After that, they invited me for a face-to-face interview. They were really nice during that. I answered all their questions, and now I'm working with them.
- Can you explain the difference between inner and outer joins?
