First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Old National Bancorp.
Relationship Banker
Pretty standard interview process, it was about 40 minutes to an hour long. They asked me about loan products, relationship building, and cash handling experience. It felt very question-list driven and not very personal, which isn't my favorite way to be interviewed. After it was all done, I didn't hear anything back.
- Are you familiar with loan products?
- What's your experience been with loan products?
- How do you build relationships with clients?
Relationship Banker
I met with the branch and regional manager at the branch for the interview. It lasted about an hour and the questions were not difficult at all. I ended up getting offered the position and it turned into a full-time role from a part-time role.
- Where do you see yourself in five years?
Personal Banker
I applied for the job and about a week later an HR rep called me. She asked a few questions that seemed more like a confidence check than anything really about the job. It was mainly to see if I sounded outgoing and confident. The next interview was 1 on 1 with the branch manager. This one was a bit harder and included questions about my personality, intelligence, and experience. It's really important to stress obedience (since policy and procedure are super important in banking), friendliness, and confidence. Experience is good, but these traits are key.
- Are you someone who enjoys finding creative solutions for people's issues?
- Have you ever knowingly run a yellow light?
Facility Asset Manager
I had two online interviews that went really well and was told that the company culture was fantastic. At the end of my in person interview the hiring manager told me I'd hear soon and that he thought "it'll happen." I followed up three times and each time was told that the hiring process was still on going. After the final follow up I was told a decision would be made the following week, and I was ghosted. I'm very disappointed that Old National Bankcorp didn't have the decency to let final candidates know if they were not selected.
- Tell me about your current job responsibilities.
