First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Olberding Brand Family.
Senior Designer
This was such a waste of time. I had two rounds with the recruiters and creative directors. They gave me two design tests, which is something I haven't had to do since entry-level. I never got any feedback on them. Over a week later, the recruiter just told me they were moving on with other candidates. They clearly have no idea what they're looking for. I'd skip this company.
- Can you tell me about some of the projects in your portfolio?
Production Artist
I got an email about setting up a first phone call. I chatted with two folks from Phototype on Oct 2, 2014. About a week later, they asked me to come in for an in-person interview at their Columbus, Ohio office. That happened on Monday, Oct 20, 2014. Lastly, I was set to meet with the interview crew at their client's place in Orrville, Ohio on Friday, Oct 31, 2014. I met six people from the Creative Services team during this interview. Sadly, I didn't get the job.
- What motivated you to apply for this role?
Graphics Production Manager
The final interview was with someone from HQ, who was rude, condescending, and disrespectful. It felt like something was off. Other interviews were good, with people being open and honest about the company culture and the role's challenges.
- The final interview was uncomfortable and nothing constructive was discussed.
Design Director
The interview process was swift and efficient. I met with my manager and some of the team members I'd be collaborating with. Everyone on the team was friendly and happy to answer any questions I had about the company and the role.
- Can you describe your design process?
