I went through several interview rounds. There was a panel presentation, which was part of the process. Most of the interviews were behavioural, which was unexpected given the technical nature of the role. For the panel, I had to build a solution for a specific use case and then present it. The feedback was that my presentation was too technical and didn't have enough storytelling. I get the importance of communication, but I felt technical skills should have been tested more as presentation skills can be learned.

So there were 4 parts to the interview. First was an HR Screening for 30 minutes. Then I talked to the SE Director for 30 minutes, and after that, the SE Manager for 30 minutes. The last part was a 1-hour Product Demo & Presentation. I got a PDF guide for the demo and followed it exactly. I was told my demo didn't focus enough on features and functions. The feedback was kind of backward, focusing on selling instead of solutions, which is weird these days. It made me realize I didn't meet their expectations, and honestly, it's probably good I didn't. They should really change their approach to solution-selling if they want to grow their business.

I applied on the company website and then a HR Recruiter reached out to me. She was super helpful, but I wish she'd mentioned the night shift requirement upfront. The interview itself was remote. They asked me if I knew what Pre Sales was and if I could assist potential customers with their technical problems.
