The recruiter set up a call and then told me I was a better fit for another role. He didn't know I wasn't in a hiring city and suggested using a family address since there's no RTO policy. He said he'd get back to me quickly, but I never heard back after following up several times.

The interview process involved several phone interviews followed by a full day of 7 in-person interviews. Each interview was about 30 minutes long and included interactions with peers and VPs from professional services and other teams. Okta provided meeting space in San Francisco for me to take a call before my interviews. It was great that we discussed the process beforehand to make sure it aligned with both parties' expectations. Overall, it was the best interview process I've experienced.

I interviewed with Okta back in December of 2021. It was quite a process: I had one call with the recruiter, then an interview with the hiring manager, followed by three interviews with peers, and a final interview with the hiring manager again. All the people I spoke with were really professional and open. It wasn't super tough, just asking about my current job and experience. I made it to the end but didn't get an offer. It would have been nice to get some feedback on why I wasn't selected, but I get that some companies can't do that.
