The initial manager call was missed, requiring me to contact their secretary to confirm if the interview was still on. It was rescheduled for a few hours later. The next day, I was scheduled for an in-person interview the following week. On the day of the interview, it was rescheduled twice, a few hours each time, and then ultimately cancelled. It was rescheduled again for another day. When I arrived, the manager was late, and I waited for some time. I then met with another manager to discuss the role and my background. Once the original manager arrived, we spoke briefly before I had to join a call. I was then asked to return to the waiting area until the manager interviewed me. He admitted to just receiving my resume and not having reviewed it. He described the company culture, team dynamics, and role responsibilities, then asked if I had any questions, as he also had a call to attend. The three-hour duration of the interview was unexpected, and it would have been considerate to inform candidates beforehand. I was eager to join the company and the leadership team, but the experience left me concerned about the process, the demonstrated stress levels, and their commitment to hiring. Although I wasn't selected for the role, I believe they could improve how they evaluate candidates and ensure a better interviewing experience.
