I applied online and then got an email to schedule an in-person interview. The interview was held at the zoo and was conducted by a Guest Services Manager or Supervisor. She asked me a few questions about my past work experience and how I'd handle specific situations.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a phone call, and then I had to fill out some simple forms for the hiring process. I felt pretty good about how I answered everything. They asked a lot of 'what if' questions and the usual 'tell me about a time...' type questions.

They got back to me fast to set up an in-person interview. It was with three people. We talked about my experience and resume. They asked me questions to check my knowledge and see if I'd be a good fit. They also covered all the benefits and pay. It was a really laid-back interview.

It was pretty short and sweet. I had a good conversation with the interviewer. She asked about my future career goals and offered to help with references if I needed them. After that, I was hired and had to attend an orientation that weekend. It's a full-day orientation covering the rules and job duties. The person leading it was a bit condescending, though.
